Labour begins in Fantasyland

The campaign that saw Labour storm to victory at the polls was based on five key promises – to cut the cost of democracy, to improve roads, tackle antisocial behaviour, improve transport, and to keep in touch with constituents.

This is pure hogwash. The campaign that saw Lieber win in Blackpool was conducted in the smoky rooms of the Conservative members. It was founded on not involving anyone outside of a silent cabal on decisions in CABINET that the members thought would never see the light of truth. Minutes of meeting that mysteriously contradicted the evidence of those present who had the courage and honesty to make public their differing memories of events. Maybe, just maybe there is a collective dementia but unfortunately for the Dead Party most has been recorded and published on different web pages, notably Philtheone. To their chagrin this group of intellectual elites underestimated the influence of the internet, relying on an increasingly diminishing Gasjet readership for support.

Now watch as allegiances switch. How long will it take before antagonists exhume the corpse of member’s expenses, especially mileage claims? The sooner the better! So let’s start here.

Is it right that the council can pay Blackpool ratepayers money out in excessive claims?

Cutting Cost.

Why not give councillors and officials Blackpool transport passes to be used only in the execution of their duty? Then watch the fiddles.

A tip on how to keep in touch with the constituent! Download Skype. You can identify your constituent and they in return can watch you squirm as you fabricate your way through an interview. Oh!!! Skype costs nothing. That at least is a start in saving money.

Antisocial behaviour.

Make councillors talk and listen to constituents which council matter affect. Lily Henderson and Sue Fowler had many a photoshot on Fisher’s Field without ever once approaching the beleaguered occupants of the shooting gallery of the flat adjacent. The occupants are not anti the kids but they reserve their legal rights for damages done to property and effects. If society leaders cannot show social responsibly then how do they expect the ill-educated dross that infests this once great nation to display social attributes? The angst between the council as landlord of Fisher’s Field and the resident would cost about £20 to fix but whomever raises the netting on the fence could be liable if anyone gets hurt climbing over, and climb the kids most certainly do and will continue to do. The residents wait with baited breath for the appearance of councillors Henderson and Maughan to learn why this chemistry is toxic.
