I never understood a single word of the Protocol. It reads like a Politician's Charter, full of gobbledegook and the split English now adopted by those too lazy to learn the language properly.
What I gathered was failing economies trying to dictate to emerging economies. It was like putting a young Cassius Clay in the ring with a rotting Sonny Liston, Europe has not the means to withstand the economic potential of the BRIC nations.
When the Planet has been destroyed by ambivalence and political wrangling, what will be handed on to our children. A dying planet Earth?
Canada gets ready to walk away from Kyoto Protocol

Federal Environment Minister John Baird arrives at the global climate summit Tuesday looking to administer last rites to the Kyoto Protocol, at least in its current form. But the funeral may have to wait for next year’s session in South Africa.
