Politicians tell us we are safe but the facts tell us differently. A group verbally assaulted a 73 year old gentleman with neuralga and it was his escort who was told to move on by the police.

Appeal after Blackpool's week of violence

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after the latest violent attack to bring shame on Blackpool.

A 50-year-old man was discovered bleeding heavily from wounds to his head at just before 1am yesterday on Central Drive. Four youths aged 13 to 18 were arrested in connection with the incident.

It was the third vicious attack in the past seven days and the fourth in the last fortnight.

A 31-year-old man remains in hospital in Preston fighting for his life after he was brutally beaten on Dickson Road, at the junction with Queen Street, at around 4.30am on Wednesday. Read more at www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk
