St Mary’s ward by-election will be a four-way battle
A PART-TIME Pentonville prison governor, a former Islington councillor and two local activists will fight it out at a by-election next month.
The candidates are: Labour’s Gary Poole, a prison officer; former Lib Dem councillor Emily Fieran-Reed, a barrister; Conservative Oriel Hutchinson, a part-time property consultant; and Green candidate Caroline Russell, who studied civil engineering.
The election is being held in St Mary’s ward on Thursday, November 10, following the vacancy left by former Mayor, Labour councillor Joan Coupland, who was forced to stand down due to ill health and non-attendance of meetings.
