Sing along, folks

As the World turns on its axis, voices can and should be raised at the pathetic, low level of politics.  As Parliament starts to ruminate over what military action should be taken in Syria, nothing is being done about the obscene level of personal debt, national debt, mass immigration, mass emigration of British middle class, literacy, the destruction of Britain's wonderful countryside, false promises and or the lies by generation after generation of professional politician.

The people en masse have become like the battered housewife.  Irrespective of the beatings, the promises that it will never happen again, promises that it will all be better if only you LOVE us; trust in them they do.  Why?  It is that sentimental hogwash that makes people say that because their fathers beat their mothers, their children, their neighbours and their friends, that they can do the same to every one else?  When a voice is raised saying that this is wrong, that their first responsibility is to themselves, then their family and finally to each other, that lone voice of reason and sanity is accused of every vice and malice that the perpetrators have in abundance.  Irrespective of how you try to persuade the victim that it is up to them to make the decision that enough is enough, for some unexplainable truth the battered wife invariable sneaks back for another beating, just on the off chance that she can change the monster into a loving cuddly creature.  The Big Three are not going to change as they have wallowed in the same cesspit together for too long.

Perhaps when Tony Blair is charged with War Crimes some disciples might believe that Hallelujah, the Labour Party has a chance of redemption.  Until then the rest of us will just have to search for Knights capable of slaying the Three Dragons of local politics.

Blackpool Highfield Ward may have found a Knight in its Ukip nominee to replace the ineffectual Labour Councillor, Chris Maughan.  Now it is up to the battered wife to tell the wife beaters that enough is enough.
