Jury told heroes’ cash plundered

Jury told heroes’ cash plundered - Crime - Blackpool Gazette

There are big thieves and there are small thieves.  The small thieves we all recognise and I will be specific, those who make gain fiscal advantage purporting to belong to an organisation, in these cases Regiment or Corps, but who will not or do not have the courage to admit they do not.  By parading themselves as members they gain an illegal and immoral monetary advantage from a general population that does not know better.  One of the major reasons the majority now live in ignorance is that the school system is now so PC that OUR history is no longer able to be taught.

I will cite a perfect example.  Only this last weekend ought to have been the celebration of the most famous sea battle in Britain's history, Trafalgar.  Did Blackpool celebrate that occasion?  No.

What has Blackpool got to do with Trafalgar?  Had they taught history in Blackpool's school the generations would know that one of the most important ships of that period, a veteran of this era, lies at rest a few yards north of North Pier, HMS Fordroyant.
For several year the Fordroyant had been Nelson's Flag Ship.  Who the h*ck is Nelson?  Wrestling fans will remember him as a hold...

The small thieves are those who exploit a situation knowing full well that what the big thieves are doing is wrong!  The classic example has to be the average Member of Parliament.  Not only did all MP's know that a high percentage of their bretheren were on the make, but they acquiesced in covering up this villainy that would have had a lass working an extra hour or two in her local Chippie branded a thief.
Having been asked not to mention any specific Local Councillors for legal reasons let me just add a proviso from a former regulars perspective.  There are numerous veterans in this town who will not seek or ask for help.  Their main reason is they feel humiliated mainly because those running established charities will insist on Mean Testing - and rightly so - to establish the needy from the greedy!  As there are now only four people in the Fylde area with the credentials to undertake such an emotionally draining task, the void is being filled with the charlatans and thieves as may well be the case above.  Here it is for a jury to decide.

But when former regular service personnel do not and will not fall in with organisations that purport to represent them, then Madam General Public should be taking a close gander at who and more importantly why?  The Paras hate these fraudsters and do not have a viable organisation although there are lots of Paras in town, and their caution is well deserved.  But Blackpool I hear is to be led by some who worshipped at the altar of idolatry and personality cultism. This is why there was to have been the inauguration locally of the Sir Jimmy Savile suite in a high street brothel.  It's bad enough that Blackpool locals want to have there own Jim "never was a hero" beatified!  But taking evidence from those who oppose this moral decline and criminal activity has been beyond the powers that be for some time now.  One has to ask why and in the light of a quarter of a century of poor police investigation into serious crimes, one wonders if the PC message has crippled all thought and action that only hastens the lowering of all debate completely to zero.

Compounding insult after insult on former servicemen and women is as bad as denying today's serving youth all the help we can muster.  Please do not let these thieves stop the wonderful generosity of Brits towards our serving kin.
