No awards for Heroes

Medal for fake Marine Major?

Blackpool's infamous fake marine Major of the Paintball Regiment (retd) is to be rewarded with a medal and the laughter is rattling the roof off the Tower. Those former REAL regular soldiers privy to this mind blowing act of incalculable insult to them think it's the best comedy act since Morecambe and Wise last played the North Pier.
Some disillusioned Colonel is to reward Heroism and Notareargunner has found the appropriate medallion. Cloth on the outside and ice cream in the centre. Get it on quick and not in sunshine because it could rain in BREEZY Blackpool. Perhaps the ceremony should take place in the Chapel on the Promenade and the Council can have another reason for closing the resort to holiday-makers, then a prolonged party of back-slapping could take place.

If Colonel Blimp wants to award medals then give them to the families of the injured and dead from Labour's immoral and dubiously legal campaigns.
Just to show there is no ill-feeling I just want to ask one question, what has happened to the Mayor's Fund?
In 1999 the accounts committee of the local council were concerned that the fund was laying dormant and wanted to divest itself of not having to do anything. At the same time a former Matelot, seriously ill with heart and lung troubles and living alone in the Revoe district, was helped by the Fund - so it WAS in existence and utilised then. So???? Why does the Council insist that no records exist when everyone who works within Forces welfare know that they ought?
The Council doesn't care as Council Leader Blackburn pushes it back at a local constituent and the police must be terrified that their ranks are not filled with Cleveland or Met rejects
, so where do we go for answers?

Before any more meaningless awards are given out, why not have some answers to some simple if pertinent questions?
There's a shop on Bank Hey Street they can get phoney honours from!!

  1. It is my very humble opinion that it makes no difference which political party is in governance, when there are matters that should be investigated even if they relate to an opposition party, then the ruling party lacks the back-bone to do anything about it.I can only speculate that some legal bigwig has put the dampner on the 'Mayor's Fund' investigation. Sadly, and it should not be laughable but I feel it is, politicians, both local and national have the audacity to say they represent the people!
