Tories fuming after MP arrested

THE Conservative Party reacted with anger today after its immigration spokesman was arrested for allegedly leaking Home Office documents.

Damian Green was arrested by London police at his home in Kent yesterday and questioned for nine hours. His offices were also searched.

The Metropolitan Police said they acted after receiving a complaint from the Cabinet Office – the department charged with enforcing the rules governing the conduct of all government employees and ministers.

In 1938 Duncan Sandys asked questions in the House of Commons on matters of national security. He was subsequently approached by two unidentified men, presumably representing the secret services, and threatened with prosecution under the Official Secrets Act. Sandys reported the matter to the Committee of Privileges who held that the disclosures of Parliament were not subject to the legislation though an MP could be disciplined by the House.
I have just witness one of the most pathetic government defences of what I perceive an illegal act, the arrest and detention of an MP doing his duty.
Having endured an MP whose only real concern has been homosexual rights, the full scope of responsibility is alien to him, although he is now responsible for Veteran Matters (I nearly said affairs but the double take on that expression is not funny).
Since 1979 we have witnessed an appalling death of democracy; regulations and laws have been passed with Labour denying the most basic and sensible scrutiny of the passage of some heinous legislation, and we rely - thankfully- to the fuddy duddies in the Lords and thanks to Dog we have such a worthy second chamber.
So Secretary Spliff, if you do not know what is going on under your scrutiny, resign. Do not tell us that it is a wholly Police matter because the invasion of Parliament by YOUR police is an act of aggression against the Nation.

Deathnell of freedom?

Damian Green's wife describes 'most shocking six hours of my life'

"She was very upset. What really alarmed me was that if I hadn't been there, the police would have broken in and my daughter would have come home from school to find her home full of detectives."

The Daily Mail reported that she told friends: "When I opened the front door, the police asked me if there were any children in the house and my blood ran cold.

"I assumed that something terrible had happened to Damian. This was a very traumatic experience. It was made even worse when my younger daughter arrived home from school and burst into tears when she saw that the house was full of policemen.

Question to the Prime Minister.
In light of the video releases of you bragging to the media that you used Civil Servants brown enveloped evidence to embarrass the then Government, are you going to subject yourself to the Special Branch and the same charges that are placed against Damian Green?

Letter from Zimbabwe

Letter from Zimbabwe sent in by John Winter

I reckon that these are the last days of TKM and ZPF. The darkest hour is always before dawn.

We are all terrified at what they are going to destroy next........I mean they are actually ploughing down brick and mortar houses and one family with twin boys of 10 had no chance of salvaging anything when 100 riot police came in with AK47's and bulldozers and demolished their beautiful house - 5 bedrooms and pine ceilings - because it was 'too close to the airport', so we are feeling extremely insecure right now.

You know - I am aware that this does not help you sleep at night, but if you do not know - how can you help? Even if you put us in your own mental ring of light and send your guardian angels to be with us - that is a help -but I feel so cut off from you all knowing I cannot tell you what's going on here simply because you will feel uncomfortable. There is no ways we can leave here so that is not an option.

I ask that you all pray for us in the way that you know how, and let me know that you are thinking of us and sending out positive vibes... that's all. You can't just be in denial and pretend/believe it's not going on.

To be frank with you, it's genocide in the making and if you do not believe me, read the Genocide Report by Amnesty International which says we are - IN level 7 - (level 8 is after it's happened and everyone is in denial).

If you don't want me to tell you these things-how bad it is-then it means you have not dealt with your own fear, but it does not help me to think you are turning your back on our situation. We need you, please, to get the news OUT that we are all in a fearfully dangerous situation here. Too many people turn their backs and say - oh well, that's what happens in Africa

This Government has GONE MAD and you need to help us publicize our plight---or how can we be rescued? It's a reality! The petrol queues are a reality, the pall of smoke all around our city is a reality, the thousands of homeless people sleeping outside in 0 Celsius with no food, water, shelter and bedding are a reality. Today a family approached me, brother of the gardener's wife with two small children. Their home was trashed and they will have to sleep outside. We already support 8 adult people and a child on this property, and electricity is going up next month by 250% as is water.

How can I take on another family of 4 -----and yet how can I turn them away to sleep out in the open?

I am not asking you for money or a ticket out of here - I am asking you to FACE the fact that we are in deep and terrible danger and want you please to pass on our news and pictures. So PLEASE don't just press the delete button! Help best in the way that you know how.

Do face the reality of what is going on here and help us SEND OUT THE WORD.. The more people who know about it, the more chance we have of the United Nations coming to our aid. Please don't ignore or deny what's happening.
Some would like to be protected from the truth BUT then, if we are eliminated, how would you feel? 'If only we knew how bad it really was we could have helped in some way'.

[I know we chose to stay here and that some feel we deserve what's coming to us]

For now,--- we ourselves have food, shelter, a little fuel and a bit of money for the next meal - but what is going to happen next? Will they start on our houses? All property is going to belong to the State now. I want to send out my Title Deeds to one of you because if they get a hold of those, I can't fight for my rights.

Censorship!----We no longer have SW radio [which told us everything that was happening] because the Government jammed it out of existence - we don't have any reporters, and no one is allowed to photograph. If we had reporters here, they would have an absolute field day. Even the pro-Government Herald has written that people are shocked, stunned, bewildered and blown mindless by the wanton destruction of many folks homes, which are supposed to be 'illegal' but for which a huge percentage actually do have licenses.

Please! - do have some compassion and HELP by sending out the articles and personal reports so that something can/may be done.

'I am one. I cannot do everything, ---but I can do something.. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. What I can do, I should do. And what I should do, by the grace of God,
I will do.'

Why is it that the MoD, or to be more precise the British Government, is the only one which has not derogated against homosexuals, and that includes lesbians, from service with the Armed Forces? Relying on European legislation is not enough. Every country in Europe recognised the folly of such stupid law and made provisions that successive British governments have not been able to undertake. Is that because there is a disproportionate number of shirtlifters in Parliament?

Mne A Lucas Killed in Afghanistan

Marine Lucas was a specialist Royal Marine Assault Engineer and his role within Victor Company placed him at the vanguard of troop action. With his specialist skills he provided intimate engineer support to the front line of the fighting troops. As a consequence, he was often the first man into dangerous situations and vulnerable areas, clearing the way for his colleagues to follow. It was in such a situation that Marine Lucas was killed by an enemy Improvised Explosive Device.

ANC says Zuma needed 33 cars for wives, Jesus, beer.

PRETORIA.

The ANC has defended using taxpayers' money to provide Jacob Zuma with a 33-car motorcade for electioneering in Limpopo last week. According to a spokesman Zuma required 28 cars for his wives, one for himself, one for Jesus Christ in case He returned as Zuma has been promising, and three for his elephant guns, leopard skins and beer.

The president of the ANC has been condemned by opposition parties for spending taxpayers' money while not holding any public office, but this morning Zuma's spokesman, Yesman Nkandla, said that the criticism was unfair. "If he'd brought Comrade Julius Malema with him he'd have needed three more cars for Comrade Julius's wet-wipes, diaper bag, bottles of Purity, and so on," said Nkandla. "So under the circumstances 33 cars was fairly modest."

He also hit back at opposition leader Helen Zille who last week accused Zuma of banana republic-style displays of opulent leadership. "To say that Msholozi's motorcade reflected a banana republic brand of leadership is grossly untrue," said Nkandla. "The presidents of banana republics drive 1974 diesel Mercedes sedans with leopard-print upholstery. "Msholozi drives a 2008 7-series BWM with condor-skin upholstery. It is totally different." He said that comparisons to the motorcades of Zimbabwean despot Robert Mugabe and his Zanu-PF henchmen were also completely baseless. "Comrade Zuma is nothing like Mugabe," he said. "Mugabe is a fascist who has betrayed his people. "And he only has fifteen cars in his motorcade, not 33. In all respects he is inferior to Msholozi."

Meanwhile the Ministry of Transport has urged motorists to cooperate with official motorcades. In a statement released this morning Deputy Transport Minister Quickfit Nkabinde said that motorists should refrain from driving "in a manner that is provocative to public officials and might result in them getting shot at in a defensive manner by the officials' bodyguards". He listed these provocative actions as "driving on any public road being used by a government motorcade, failing to direct your motor vehicle into the nearest ditch upon seeing a motorcade approach, and weaving across lanes to present an unsporting moving target to bodyguards".

Man found guilty of Hannah murder

Maninder Pal Singh Kohli, 41, who denied all the charges, was convicted more than five years after Hannah was found strangled.

Her father, Trevor Foster, called Kohli a "cold, calculating and ruthless man".

"The cold, battered and bruised body certainly looked like her, but where was the sparkle in her eyes?"

Det Supt Alan Betts said: "Kohli did everything he could to avoid justice, and it was only through the determination of Hannah's parents, Hampshire Police, and colleagues in India that he was located and arrested.

Rapist Father Is Jailed For Life

The 56-year-old man repeatedly raped his daughters, who between them went through 19 pregnancies, Sheffield Crown Court heard.

The campaign started when the women were aged between eight and 10. If they refused their father's advances, they were badly beaten.

But I can say that in nearly 40 years of dealing with criminal cases and 14 as a family judge the combination of aggravating circumstances here is the worst I have come across.

Murderer Mohamed Boudjenane Victim Lakhdar Ouyahia

The gruesome moment an illegal immigrant who murdered his neighbour was captured on bus CCTV carrying his victim's head in a bag. Mohamed Boudjenane had murdered Lakhdar Ouyahia two days earlier, just hours after he had raped a Phillipino woman in his flat. The 45-year-old Algerian was obsessed with the woman and shaved off her hair after assaulting her.

Boudjenane was convicted of murder, two counts of rape and false imprisonment by an Old Bailey jury. Judge Christopher Moss QC jailed the Algerian for life, with a minimum term of 22 years.

Britains awful immigration laws

An illegal immigrant who killed a brilliant young writer by driving into her at 60mph cannot be deported because it would breach his human rights.Ahsan Sabri, 28, was unlicensed and not properly insured when he roared through a red light and ploughed into Oxford University graduate Sophie Warne.

The 30-year-old died instantly from a broken neck. She had published five books, was writing her first novel and was about to announce her engagement. But the High Court overturned an immigration tribunal decision that Sabri - who had overstayed his visa - should be sent home to Pakistan. The judge ruled that deporting him would breach his right to 'respect for family life' as he had married a British woman in 2003 and had a daughter, born last May, with her.

Illegally in the country- driving a motor vehicle illegally - no insurance and no bloody right to be here except this dick produces sperm that works. Send the whole family to Pakistan and let his kids ask him what Britain is like. Charge the wife with aiding and abetting a miscreant, or, make the wife pay every penny she receives in the future to the family of the deceased. And still deport this illegal.

Why is it most free thinking Britons are incensed by the cacophony of abuse aimed at a legal political party, the BNP, because the thought police shy away from recognising that their attitudes give credibility to mass murders? On this weeks Question Time, BBC 1, Thursday evening, every single contributor castigated the English electorate for the growing support for the BNP. Not one actually said that - and I am a lifetime Conservative - the BNP is asking the questions, and probably giving an answer, to many of the fears that they have.

Government plan hit a Northern Rock

Another £3bn at risk in Northern Rock

Another £3bn of taxpayer money has been put at risk in Northern Rock after the
nationalised lender's off-balance sheet funding vehicle, Granite, was put in
to run-off yesterday.

Northern Rock triggered the £37bn vehicle's wind-up by breaching rules on the size of cushion provided by the nationalised bank to Granite's institutional bondholders. By declining to transfer any more mortgages into Granite, the lender reduced its collateral below the contractual 8.2pc minimum.

"The percentage of delinquent loans relative to the value of mortgages in the trust rose above pre-set levels. Three different arrears triggers have been breached - remember how Brown and Darling blatantly lied that the taxpayer's money was secured by the mortgage assets of the bank?" thus writes Guido Fawkes. Seeing as how he has been closer to the facts than this government has had the courage to announce, it suggests that matters will get worse for longer than Labour predicts.

A Tax by any other name

Blackpool Airport introduces £10 charge

Blackpool's International Airport is hoping to attract more customers
PASSENGERS will be charged £10 to use Blackpool International Airport – but will be able to park for free in return.
The £10 charge, which will be introduced on January 5 for passengers aged 16 and over, is expected to raise £400,000 in its first year.

As Blackpool degenerates into a world of gobbledegook, spin and down right ridiculous proposals, it is fast becoming a laughing stock.

First, the Councillors want to prevent pensioners coming to the resort who take advantage of their bus passes. Let's get facts straight. If you travel to Blackpool from say Wigan, the journey can take you up to three hours. The ten pounds saved on fares is then spent in the cafes and eateries on the Coast, benefiting the whole of the Fylde on not just Blackpool Beirut. A walk through Fleetwood last Tuesday was a stroll through a ghost town.

If St Annes Airport - the map says it is within the boundary of the borough - is a liability and non-commercial, let it close.

A message for Peter Callow, leader of the increasingly inept Conservative regime, the No 7 is the ghost bus you can't see on St Annes Road. Put your hand out and it will get soaked as you wait for the worst scheduled run in Blackpool. The No's 14 and 5 are so filled with prams that disabled veterans sometimes have to wait hours for a carriage. So not only can your own disabled supporters not get into your sinecures at Tyldesley Conservative Club, but they can't get to get to the venue in the first place. Suggestions, put a local tax on veterans in wheel-chairs to keep them out of sight. More taxes on locals who use the Airport, even if they do not have a car??? Now that one beats me. I could imagine Jackie Spliff coming up with such an idiotic suggestion, but not sensible tax reducing Conservatives? Surely not!!!

Blackpool Conservatives campaign of hate against pensioners has started, again.

Peter Callow, ably assisted by the Blackpool Gazette, has fired the first shots in the Conservatives campaign to get rid of Blackpool’s pensioners’ bus passes. Employing dubious accounting methods, the controlling Conservative Councillors’ much expected onslaught on pensioners’ rights - wholly abetted by these anonymous accountants – are once again falsely claiming that pensioners are costing millions.
With food prices still rising – a can of beans now cost over 35p in the cheapest of stores, home fuel bills filling the pockets of share holders, bills escalating well beyond the 4.2% yesterday proudly presented by the Labour Government, why doesn’t Mr Callous submit his expense claims with zero in each column? Help the Aged, Peter, and cease this remorseless attack on the most vulnerable. If you want the busses to run empty, then say so. But the only beneficial legacy of twelve years of Labour mis-management is not a target at which you should be aiming. Rumours say that the council is abound with unelected quangos members who draw disproportionate sums for sitting on worthless sinecures.

Baby P: Ministers were warned babies were at risk

Sharon Shoesmith, Head of Children's Services at Haringey Council, leaves home today. The Government was alerted to a claim that child protection procedures were not being followed by Haringey Council six months before the death of Baby P, it emerged tod

It emerged last night that lawyers wrote to the then Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt, junior health ministers Rosie Winterton and Ivan Lewis, and David Lammy, the local MP for Tottenham, alleging that the social services department headed by Sharon Shoesmith was not following child protection procedures.

Labour will close Parliament early and stay on holiday longer. We are in an economic crisis of Gordon Brown's making. Children murdered while under Council supervision and it appears easier to have saved lives than let them expire, but all we will get is another useless inquiry. If 80 head teachers in Haringey think that Sharon Shoesmith is doing a good job, then perhaps they too should reflect on their futures?
I listened to Rosie Winterton on Any Questions, Radio 4 this past weekend. The sooner she resigns the better. If she thinks it is ok not to read her own correspondence then she is not fit for office. Labours rotten core has really floated to the surface.
