Blackpool Conservatives campaign of hate against pensioners has started, again.

Peter Callow, ably assisted by the Blackpool Gazette, has fired the first shots in the Conservatives campaign to get rid of Blackpool’s pensioners’ bus passes. Employing dubious accounting methods, the controlling Conservative Councillors’ much expected onslaught on pensioners’ rights - wholly abetted by these anonymous accountants – are once again falsely claiming that pensioners are costing millions.
With food prices still rising – a can of beans now cost over 35p in the cheapest of stores, home fuel bills filling the pockets of share holders, bills escalating well beyond the 4.2% yesterday proudly presented by the Labour Government, why doesn’t Mr Callous submit his expense claims with zero in each column? Help the Aged, Peter, and cease this remorseless attack on the most vulnerable. If you want the busses to run empty, then say so. But the only beneficial legacy of twelve years of Labour mis-management is not a target at which you should be aiming. Rumours say that the council is abound with unelected quangos members who draw disproportionate sums for sitting on worthless sinecures.

  1. Mr (stop the bus) Callow should join the green party as he wishes to fight co2 emissions by transporting fresh air around the country on his (often late or not bother to turn up atall) omnibuses.
He would be better off helping the poor freezing pensioners standing at the bus stops by distributing some of his massive council expenses from the upper floor of an open top bus.
