Thwaites is probably the best pint served in the Fylde area. It is welcomed that they are refurbishing the very good, but dated Stanley Arms but ...
Let's hope that they do not spoil an excellent old pub and turn it into a plastic palace for the dirty few. The centre of Blackpool is desperate for a good pub, one that does the heritage proud. Do It Well, Mssrs Thwaites.
DANIEL Thwaites brewery has closed two major Blackpool pubs for massive refurbishments as a vote of confidence in the resort's future.
ALL CHANGE: Nellie Deans, with Mick Sugden, who is now manager of the Stanley Arms
Nellie Deans on North Promenade and the Stanley Arms on Chapel Street form part of an ambitious plan by Thwaites to continually redevelop its pub estate to meet the needs of the North West consumer, said Richard Ball, customer marketing manager.
