As new details of abuse of the system emerge every day in the Daily Telegraph, Mr Pope said it was irresponsible of MPs to take advantage of a system they themselves created.

With Parliament rapidly sinking under the weight of scandal, one of the few Labour beacons of decency has called it a day.
Please reconsider Mr Pope, otherwise the dross and scum of the labour movement will finally have reached the middin their unsavoury supporters wanted.
