Queen Sofia Flies Ryanair
The 70-year-old monarch flew from Santander, Spain to Stansted airport with budget airline Ryanair on Sunday (31.05.09).
An insider said it was 'common practice' for members of the royal family to fly on commercial flights, adding: "King Juan Carlos is the only member of the royal family who always travels on military flights.
"Whenever possible the royals use Spanish airlines, but in this case Ryanair was the best option for getting from Santander to London. It may well be first time the royals have used Ryanair."
Sofia came to the UK to visit her brother, the former King Constantine of Greece, who is recovering from heart surgery in a London hospital.

To Blackpool Council, if Spanish royalty can do, so can YOU.
Can you actually see Blackpool's Tory Counc Fowler using Ryanair? he is much too important for that.
ReplyDeleteHe lives in a town full of queens but doesn't want to travel in standard class like a real one.
Roll out the red carpet at Blackpool North station for His Excellency for Expenses- Counc Fowler.
