Burnley great dies. Jimmy Adamson

What a hero. No falling on the ground, rolling around in feigned agony, trying to get another dismissed the field, applauding the opposition off after a game, shaking hands with an opponents and meaning good will even after a bruising encounter. What had Jimmy to teach the overpaid prima donnas of today.

SUPPORTERS wishing to pay their final respects to one of Burnley’s finest ever players are invited to line the streets near Turf Moor ahead of his funeral.

Clarets legend Jimmy Adamson will be taken to his final resting place on Monday, following one final visit to the club that he led to
Championship victory as captain in 1960.

The former player, who performed at right-half, died on Tuesday, aged 82.
