wonkeydonkey speaks for many. But a word for the unwise. You may not see your loved one drift into debt, but if they do YOU need to act for them. If it hurts their feelings, tough, that YOU have take some responsibility for them, tough, well that is just tough again and again. It is tough love that saves lives,whether it is the miscreant drug abusing child, or the elderly formerly professorial parent. If you are not saving their lives then you most definitely are saving some innocents who gets killed because of your loved-ones actions.
My pet hate is sitting on the bus, going through leafy Lytham as watching all those ancient drivers who should not be behind the wheel of a car. Even as much as I dislike these irresponsible geriatrics, I would not set a bailiff on them for all the coffee in Colombia. They could end up dead by a cash machine. Your loved one that is.
