Army representatives said a lone bugler played The Last Post and six gunmen fired three symbolic shots in a touching graveside ceremony at Park Cemetery in Lytham as the family, mum Diane, step-dad Malcolm, Daniel, and auntie Rosalyn said their final goodbye.
This is just the latest exercise in poor reporting by the Gazette. In January they had most of the details of Andy Miller wrong, but never corrected. Address your ire to the perpetrator joe.robinson@blackpoolgazette.co.uk

  1. It was a standard military funeral if there is such a thing. I served on the firing party of one back in 1978 for a chap killed parachuting onto weston on the green.

The general public won't know about the intricacy of the ceremony so the gazette describes it in general terms not that I am making excuses for the sloppy journalism usually exhibited by them.
