It was a standard military funeral if there is such a thing. I served on the firing party of one back in 1978 for a chap killed parachuting onto weston on the green.
ReplyDeleteThe general public won't know about the intricacy of the ceremony so the gazette describes it in general terms not that I am making excuses for the sloppy journalism usually exhibited by them.
