George Thornley
A 16-year-old boy was today found guilty of murdering a pensioner in his own home.
George Thornley, 68, was savagely beaten at his home on Meadow Close, Clifton, near Kirkham, last December.
He died three weeks later in hospital.
It took jurors just 90 minutes to reach their guilty verdict.

Why are teenagers so ready to use violence?
I have my views and they probably go contrary to general opinion. It has to stop and Westminster has proved itself incapable of addressing the problem. Like everything else they do it is all talk and no action.
Like Westminster itself, it is all about time it changed.
