ReplyDeleteof stumbling across a plaque on the edge of the Forth and Clyde canal in the north of Glasgow.This posh plaque carried the message that the latest project of restoration of this grand old waterway was opened by none other than no less a personality than Gorbals Mick.
I pondered about informing the Waterways Authority warning them about the first pirate seen on a canal, but on reflection he would, no doubt, be subjected to a standing ovation as he received from his fellow freebooters in the House of Commons.
