Seven people are due in court charged with public order offences in connection with a disturbance at a soldiers' homecoming parade. Angry scenes broke out during a parade for the 2nd Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment on March 10, when a group of Muslim extremists brandished placards with slogans including "Butchers of Basra". Jalal Ahmed, 21, Yousaf Bashir, 29, Ibrahim Anderson, 32, Jubair Ahmed, 19, Ziaur Rahman, 32, Shajjadar Choudhury, 31, and Munim Abdul, 28, all from addresses in Luton, will appear before magistrates in the town. |
