Fylde Council have turned a dangerous cycle way into a potential death trap. The average cyclist has to pull out into traffic, from the cycle lanes, into a road with a speed limit of 40 MPH and their experts reaction to this incredulity is..."the lanes are only advisory".
Blackpool's cycle lanes start nowhere and go nowhere. There's a plethora of signs that direct would be cyclists to various parts of town, but their routes appear to be a mistake, drawn by the council spider no doubt.
Parking on bike lanes, parking on bike lanes with yellow lines, parking on bike lanes with one wheel on the pavement. These are assault courses not bike lanes!!!
