More cuts by Blackpool council

The Government has asked local authorities to respond to the proposals, which it claims are designed to be fair while recognising the responsibility councils have to make better use of their resources.  Almost £16m will be slashed from the 2014/15 budget in Blackpool, followed by around £20m the following year.

As previously reported in The Gazette, 700 town hall jobs will be lost in Blackpool over the next two years while many services will hit by the central government cuts.

Labour will use every dirty trick in the political book to put the blame everywhere but on the culprits, Labour and Conservatives. As they squandered the inheritance of a wonderful past, they have laid the grounds for the towns', and the countrys' demise.

In the past entrepreneurs built wonderful all weather and all year available venues.  Ever since they demolished the beautiful Palace planners have wreaked havoc on Blackpool and done everything imaginable to frighten away our one prize asset, the holiday-maker.

Not once have we witnessed planners taking into consideration that the weather is our greatest enemy, that and short sighted and petty politicians.  Where is the imagination to expand and prepare for change.  It does not take a brain surgeon to look at the buildings in most of the promenade regions to realise that the weather will deteriorate the structures and buildings and facilities will have to be replaced.  When you buy a car you know you will have to replace it in the future, but for an exceptional few places, buildings do the same.  They become jaded and no longer fit for purpose, just like Blackpool Council.

With another by election around the corner, it is time that the people spoke out and acted to get rid of this dysfunctional and basically ignorant selfish group and replace them with vigorous and energetic people.  Where's Philtheone when you need him?

There are questions that need answering
1     Why have no elected councillors raised the overmanning, overspending issues before now?
2     Is there no elected councillor capable of scrutinising employees contracts?
3     Why or how can council employees get contracts of employment that pay them more than the Prime Minister?

Elect someone with the courage to ask these questions and they will have my vote.

Seeing thru Labour's drivel - PMQs today

The Brighton Belle, MP for Blackpool South led a suicidal attack on the Prime Minister (PMQs) today by MISQUOTING a SUPPOSED case of a woman, violently violated through the DWP, who worked gratis for one charity and was denied assistance, whereas she could have worked for another and received part of pensioners taxes for doing so.

Why couldn’t Gordon say that here is a woman who can obviously work, she clearly indicates this, but she can’t work for a wage that pensioner would appreciate?  Again we have this horrendous bias of a tax on pensioners savings to placate the Labour supporter, past and future - infiltrating in their millions into this country – but nowhere is the demand for those who can work, to do so?  Nowhere, because it is political suicide to tell the truth on a generosity that not a single national government can afford.  Yet Labour will reimpose their generocity at savers expense.

Let’s get one thing straight.  It isn’t/wasn’t  Labour’s money that Labour squandered over their tenure in Government.  It was mainly Pensioners Money.  This selectivity by Labour’s Brighton Belle, to conjure out of the political ether an unnamed female working for unnamed charities, victimised by a Department of State that cannot defend itself, is risible.  What about the immediate family of the murdered Andy Miller – now that’s a name of a real victim - who have rights continually denied to question the propriety at the lack of a meaningful investigation into the murder?  Mr Marsden MP has been stunning silent.  Do not murdered veteran’s relatives deserve an intelligent – any- answer to this debacle?
If there is a topic that Blackpool needs airing, and that the TV media tried this week to do, it is the tenuous and disgraceful attitude towards children, the abuse of them and what look to the casual observer to be the protection by the authorities of those who pray on them.  During the Highfield circus Labour eventually donned the mantle of protectors and champion.  Unfortunately this is as bogus as the convictions, or none thereof, of some child abusers who must be being protected by others in positions of trust.  For three successive parliaments that responsibility to Care fell to Labour.

They failed abysmally.

A close peep into Labour MP’s or their spouses viewing habits ought to hold a few answers to the depravity of office holders.  Not that the Blue Brigade can feel smug.  It is about time the Crown Court in Preston fulfilled its duty and prosecuted suspected abusers. (No names as sub judice),

Soldiers view on the Covenant

We would love to lay claim to the following but alas a greater wordsmith than we published it but I believe it is possibly the best thing about ex Service personnel I have ever read. Please feel free to share it if you want too.

I am a Soldier. If I am lucky I will die young and unmarried. If I am really lucky, I will die quickly. If I am married, with young children, I will die in the full knowledge that The Forces Covenant is not worth the paper it is written on, and that my children will rely on charity and a widows pension, which will be enough to exclude my family from any further benefits of the welfare state, without being enough to live on, or replace the life time of earnings which might have been mine. They might well grow to hate my memory, because of what my failure has done to them.
During my service I will be subject to a constant barrage of hate. Some of this will come from the enemies I face on behalf of my nation. It will come in the form of weapons ranging from gunshots, knives, petrol bombs, blast bombs, conventional weapons and unconventional, improvised devices. This I can accept; it is what I have trained to do and it goes with the job and if I do my job properly, that hatred is short lived and the perpetrators will not bother me again. The other hate is what hurts. It comes from my own people, those I am sworn to protect; it never ends, and it is corrosive of my ideals and my will. The hate of the press will scream forth the rights of my enemies and the wrongness of my actions, the hate of the liberal who fights the clean fight of law, and literature, both strengthen our enemy with the blinkered but paramount view, of the academic, who has not lived…..or seen death. This is the hate that sends me to fight a common enemy with first one hand tied behind my back, and then both, which in its ignorant self-righteousness would rather see me dead, than our enemy harmed. Then there is the neglect. The old, worn out unsuitable equipment, which extracts it’s toll from my body, but worse, much worse, the legal system which sends me to war without fair, equitable laws, which protect me as much as my enemies. This too takes its toll in lives, when you hesitate to make a decision which could land you in jail for years, and disgrace for life. Mind you, if I go to jail for murder, my family will get more benefits than a dead Soldiers family. This is the hate that could exultantly assist in hauling I and my peers in to court so that our actions forty years ago can be judged on the basis of hindsight and changed laws now, while the government joins in condemning us.
If I Live through my service, I will retire with a body that is worn out and will probably cease to function before I am 60, that is if I am not scarred either physically or mentally (or both) by my service. This is an improvement. In the 1970s, the average age of those career servicemen who “ceased to draw their pension” was 57 years. When I retire from the forces, I will gradually lose touch with the only friends I have known during my adult life, lose my home, my way of life, and, oh yes, my income. Instead, I will be forced out of my career, and compelled to compete in the marketplace with people who do not have one tenth of my leadership or management ability, and none of my discipline or loyalty. They will be employed because it is considered that, as a former SNCO, I will shout and scream and upset people. Little thought is given to the leadership and management that I have displayed for many years without shouting, and the fact that men will not put their life on the line for another who cannot lead and inspire them in the most extreme of circumstances.
If I cannot gain a job, I will be excluded from benefits by my non-contributory forces pension, which is not enough to pay rent on a home. I receive this from the day I leave the forces, until the day I die, but have never been told that when the Armed Forces Pay Review Body calculate my pay each year, they then deduct a minimum of 11% to compensate for my pension. The rules for my pension are set, by civil servants, in line with the civil service regulations, which reflect that a civil servant can serve for forty years. I can only serve for 22, therefore I miss out on at least 7 times the percentage of pay that a civil servant does, and receive half the pension benefits he receives. If like a naïve idiot, I apply for benefits, I will be told by a woman whose first language is not English, that I was a fool for wearing uniform all those years, and that I am not entitled. When I apply for housing, I will be refused an application form. When I get one and fill it in, they will refuse to accept it but will at the same time conduct a press campaign stating that Brits get first call on their housing stock; when eventually a different council accepts it, I will be refused access to the housing list on the basis that I do not have sufficient ties to the community. If they finally put my name on the housing list, I will be constantly left at the bottom because “You are the lowest priority”.
It is highly likely that at some time during these years of struggle after my retirement from the forces, I will get divorced and suffer from depression. If I am unsuccessful in killing myself, or lack the courage to try, there is a very strong chance that I will die on the streets, of hypothermia and malnutrition.
I was a Soldier, and most of this has happened to me. Cameron, I hate the country that you and your public schoolboys are making on the back of the security I provided whilst preaching the myth of the Forces Covenant.
Blair took us to Wars behind Lies.  The present Government maintains a tenuous grasp on reality based on those very same Lies.  There is an industry getting rich and purchasing all sorts of wonderful toys, such as personal helicoptors, all based on the Lie of the Covenant with the People.
People don't give a damn about the brave and intelligent British youth otherwise they would never have left the Forces in Afghanistan to support more Lies and obtain more casualties on more myths and yet more lies.  The only ones who are deserving of support are those least likely to get it.
Bless you all, wherever you are Serving.

Pickles speeding to legislate on Council coffers

The Government has started to listen and will act.  Knut sits by the sea and orders the tide back.  The Romans have joined Forces with the Normans to invade Little Pakistan to impose a misogynistic, pseudo Christian regime on the misogynistic agnostic population.

The memory span of the British electorate must be less than ten minutes, or as long as it takes a reasonable British beer swiller to down a decent pint of Wobbly Bob.  Councillors hide behind their mindless followers whist MP's sit in awe as Nero fiddles.  Musicians threaten to down their instruments if the fiddles are outlawed.
Multibrandts has been kidnapped by Somali Pirates - new to the Premiership - and the Lieber Party have raised enough for a third team spongeperson.  Gangsters in Vietnam win a fortune when they laid a bet that Co-op Bankers would snort funds subscribed by dissident pensioners for his retention in Mali.

Life is wonderful.  Have a good Christmas.  By the time the Goverment has acted The British Island will have moved further into the Atlantic. If you believe in The Deity He has done it to keep Briton away from The Eurogroan.

Black and White in South Africa?

This letter will be meaningless to many, especially those with blinkered eyes; blinded by ignorance, greed and sheer hate.  It is written by an emanent historian of South Africa Military, placing himself in danger because he still lives in a violent land.

I think one has to accept the basic premise that Mandela was a politician.  He was a politician his entire life.  After being sentenced, I believe he was lucky in that the Prosecutor Percy Yutar, as I remember the name, made a fundamental mistake and the Judge sentenced them to life not death, given all the weapons, mines and explosives etc that were found for which he was in part responsible.
He went to jail as a simple member of the party along with others.  Subsequently, as part of the ongoing war against the RSA decision was made by the ANC with advice from the Russians,  to reflect Mandela as a hero and part of the propaganda onslaught against the RSA govt as part of the much maligned Total Onslaught.  To this end an enormous effort was put into the denigration of the RSA Govt etc although as you know up to 1985 the ANC MK etc did not amount to much of a threat.  The real threat was encapsulated within the UDF.  They were the org that held themselves to be fighting an unjust govt by non violent means which clearly the research disagrees with.  Disproving that angle will take another discussion.  Mandela was in jail and a fair amount of pressure was put on him by the Govt to forswear violence which he refused.

Now we come to the interesting part where the ANC as you are aware went to VN to learn from the Vietnamese how they were able to stand up to the USA.  What they learnt is in essence very simple.  Assume you are in power - who is your major enemy in a democratic one man one vote scenario?  The clear answer to that was Inkatha.  At that point middle 70's they were the largest legitimate black party in RSA(Republic of South Africa) and they were a almost cats hair distant from the ANC in beliefs bar the violence and Marxist diatribes etc.  Destroy them and you are the major political force in SA!  Back to Mandela.  When DeKlerk took over he decided that as a matter of Real Politiek to get rid of SWA(South West Africa/Namibia).  Free up the millions spent there and concentrate on the internal sit.  He was definitely not a securocrat!  By ridding himself of SWA by fair means and foul, he moved to reducing the SADF and then to negoitiations with the ANC.  Read Marc Burger's  book Not the Whole Truth. While I will agree that the SADF Gens often did make mistakes, their biggest was to avoid politics in the middle of a political war.  As military men it was their duty to understand politics in the broad and narrow context of RSA and the international implications of all they did.  They often failed to understand this.  The effort to reconcile Mandela with peace in our time,  bore fruit in my opinion when he was briefed on the success of the VN visit and its implications.  Consequently he could as a strat move accept the conditional rejection of armed struggle based on meaningful negotiations to majority rule, knowing that the real war was about to start ie the destruction of Inkatha as a political force in SA.  The whites had become irrelevant and they did not even know this.  The ham handed efforts of the SAPS and SB to assist the IFP without the assistance of the SADF who tried nobly to maintain the peace between all warring factions.
Why do you think the SADF was able as a rule to ride around the townships with few incidents and yet the SAP could go into the same area and seemingly attract stones like a magnet?  Often the SADF patrols were so far removed from controlling the areas they patrolled, because the SAP refused us permission to dominate in all the sense of the word and our clever Gens felt this was not a real war.  We should not really be there, but beware if you attack us our Strongmans image will force us to shoot you, because we will never carry non lethal weapons, they are not military traditional weapons!!

Look at the stats of killings before and after 1994.  Did the Armed struggle really end when Mandela came out of jail having said he would abandon the path of violence?  The data speaks for itself and with the clever use of the NEC and the limp handed approach of De Klerk ably supported by the Goldstone Commissions work it was almost inevitable that the IFP should start collapsing.  Take the Shell House attack.  Mandela refused to allow the police to search the building!! and said if all the other hostels meaning IFP ones were searched as well he would allow? the building to be searched.  That by the way only happened 3 years later.  He threatened the negotiations would stall if the search went ahead.  (By the way I had a senior SAP colleague who was inside Shell house at the time who saw what went on and was very worried he might be called to testify, as he would have to call the ANC seniors who became his bosses later, liars.)  Mandela was in charge of the ANC before and after 94.  He failed ? did not stop the violence and now we have a black pop who cannot even remember who was killing them in such great numbers.  Talk of a Stockholm syndrome!  Do not forget the immense value of having all the liberal press and academia turned by clever stratcom by the Russians et al.  Who ran the ILO? etc.

You may well argue he showed great magnanimity towards the whites afterwards.  Yes but why do you think there is a thing called a 2 Phase revolution, and the Firearms Act was a direct attempt to disarm the whites, I knew the Chairman who wrote the Act, as the ANC were and to some extend still are scared of a right wing revolt.  Politics,   and any way, if you add the Affirmative action laws,  they have what they want, positions and a hand on all the power levers even in sport,  while the whites gratefully work in the middle ranking positions.  Note that the SANDF (SA National Defence Force)  is now about 8% white with last count 5 white Lts.  The other govt depts are not much better off.  Business is the final power lever that is outstanding.

Much can be written and argued about, but only time will maybe tell if the truth will slide to the surface.
What I have written above is without deep research and references so small errors can creep in.  The SWA(South West Africa/Namibia) elections is a minefield waiting to be walked into.
Regards

I know too many Whites; former British, Portugese, Dutch and worse, the Boers who are historic White African farmers, into abandoning the country they built for enforced exile in other countries outside of Africa.  Many in Britain cheer this development at the same time demand that Britain has no say in it ancient rights of self government.

Labour in Brussels behind ‘anonymous’ UKIP smear site.

Labour in Brussels behind ‘anonymous’ UKIP smear site.

Labour started to push themselves forward in Blackpool with candidates unfit and unwilling to debate the legacy of their creation; mass immigration and almost permanent public debt.  With an MP that appears gentle on the outside, but who betrays all the characteristics of a bully.

Not only has he never replied over the murder of Blackpool veteran Andy Miller, he charges around his adopted turf like some medieval baron.  Had the councillor recently ensconced into Highfield read history, he would see that the heroes have more flaws then assets.  It is a characteristic that typifies the sick depths that Labour has to dredge to stop good people voting against them.

Ukraine head towards a miserable Christmas

Kiev is turning nasty and history is repeating itself.  I was told by the future labour councillor for Highfield Ward that HISTORY is irrelevant.  It is if you are an ignorant lapdog.  Fortunately human kind has advance by humans with a lot more go than the blind followers of doctrine that has long since proven useless. Labour looks after no-one except a privileged few of the Champagne Socialist.

Blair got us into a struggle that has to date cost the lives of at least 446 of our finest people, in an alien Nation a million miles away from the 21st Century, but we are told by the Government and opposition that they have everything under control as we watch our neighbours crash into anarchy.

O Yes!  Wonderful control as shown with the open doors and mass imigration, mainly of an unskilled workforce that has ruined our low paid and least capable...I think not.  What is happening in Kiev today has, I will remind some, happened here recently and will happen again unless we take drastic steps to prevent it.

From a Former Regular to All Serving Soldiers of the Free Nations

I know I have posted this for you in the past.  With the horrendous decision to hang Royal Marines out to dry for doing what we ask them to do, protect us, then my mind shudders at what idiocy overrides reality.
Five Coppers gun down an innocent Brazilian on his way to work, in London, and they are exonerated.  A Royal Marine sargeant dispatches a murderer on the periphery of a battle field, a murderer so foul his acts belie description and who was actively engaged in attempts to bring about the Marines destruction, and he gets a Life Sentence.
What next? Try all us former soldiers who have ever killed an enemy?  Yea.  The Lunatic Liberals would Love that.
This is my view and if you don't like it, remove my blog from your computer.
Bless all the men and women who Tony  Blair has put in harms way for their devotion to Our safety.
A CHRISTMAS POEM

T'WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE,
MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE.

I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY,
WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO,
IN THIS HOME, DID LIVE.

I LOOKED ALL ABOUT,
A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
NOT EVEN A TREE.

NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,
JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES,
OF FAR DISTANT LANDS.

WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,
AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,
A SOBER THOUGHT,
CAME THROUGH MY MIND.

FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT,
IT WAS DARK AND DREARY,
I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER,
ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.

THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING,
SILENT, ALONE,
CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR,
IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.

THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE,
THE ROOM IN DISORDER,
NOT HOW I PICTURED,
A TRUE BRITISH SOLDIER.

WAS THIS THE HERO,
OF WHOM I'D JUST READ?
CURLED UP ON A PONCHO,
THE FLOOR FOR A BED?

I REALISED THE FAMILIES,
THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS,
WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.

SOON ROUND THE WORLD,
THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE,
A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.

THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM,
EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS,
LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.

I COULDN'T HELP WONDER,
HOW MANY LAY ALONE,
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE,
IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.

THE VERY THOUGHT BROUGHT,
A TEAR TO MY EYE,
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES,
AND STARTED TO CRY.

THE SOLDIER AWAKENED,
AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
"SANTA DON'T CRY,
THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE;

I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM,
I DON'T ASK FOR MORE,
MY LIFE IS MY GOD,
MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS.."

THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER,
AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,
I COULDN'T CONTROL IT,
I CONTINUED TO WEEP.

I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS,
SO SILENT AND STILL,
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED,
FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL.

I DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE,
ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT,
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR,
SO WILLING TO FIGHT.

THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER,
WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,
WHISPERED, "CARRY ON SANTA,
IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE."

ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH,
AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND,
AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT."

This poem was written by a Peacekeeping soldier stationed overseas.
